It is with much excitement and pleasure that I offer you my inaugural vintage of 2014 LAZ Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
These past few months as we've developed LAZ wine, I've jokingly told friends and industry peers that I decided to launch my own label because there just aren't enough new wines coming from Napa Valley. As we know, that couldn't be further from the truth! Napa Valley wines are more prolific today than ever before. But what sets this inaugural vintage of LAZ wine apart is that it's being produced by one of the best winemakers in the business, Celia Welch. I always knew that if I was ever going to start my own label, I only wanted to collaborate and work with the best - and I'm thrilled to be able to say that LAZ is Celia's newest winemaking endeavor.
From her days assisting in wine production, to her consulting career as an independent winemaker for a few of Napa's finest wineries, including her own wine label, Corra Wines, Celia has developed a signature texture and finesse that is unrivaled. I am continually impressed with her ability to produce wines of power, strength and sophistication. They are truly the perfect balance of masculine and feminine characteristics in the bottle.
As a longtime supporter of my wine career - from when I was Wine Director for Dean & DeLuca to my newest venture, K. LAZ WINE COLLECTION - I invite you to try my debut vintage of 2014 LAZ Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Shipments will go out the week of October 3rd, or you can choose to pick up your allocation at my debut release party on Saturday, October 22nd (details below).
Immediately following the release party, I will be hosting our fall Cabernet Release Tasting with 20 Napa Valley vintners who are among the best in the business. If you can make it, I highly recommend making a weekend out of it!
